I like to promote and use British yarns and most of my bases are sourced and spun in Yorkshire. The fibre from Bluefaced Leicester sheep is soft, strong and lustrous and a favourite which I have knitted with for many years. However in the future I will be replacing some of the Bluefaced Leicester with a blend of BFL and Corriedale. which is also a very soft, strong fibre.

The Merino-nylon sock will be replaced with a 75% Bluefaced Leicester and Corriedale, 25 % recycled nylon compostable nylon.

Instead of the Peruvian Highland, I will be introducing a Yorkshire sourced and spun non-super-wash Bluefaced Leicester/Masham 4ply  which I have been trialling recently. It dyes and knits beautifully by hand and machine. The mill supports British Farmers and UK manufacturing. There is full traceability, a low carbon footprint, fleece to finished yarn in less than 50 miles.

Please contact me if you require a sweater quantity as this may need to be dyed to order.
