Gansey Headband Pattern.
A cosy headband inspired by the traditional patterns of Gansey jumpers, and shaped ‘gusset’ style, to button at the back with a Welsh slate button.
The pattern includes charts and written instructions.
A cable needle is also required.
The pattern is for an aran/worsted weight yarn, however I have knitted this successfully in a DK on a smaller needle and would recommend this for a smaller size, however the button also gives some flexibility in the sizing. You could also leave out a pattern repeat.
The pale aqua and the pale blue sample are knit in 50g of Natur-ally Yarns British Bluefaced Leicester DK, shown in colourways Ocean, and Woad Blue. (100g / 225m/ 246 yds/100g.) held with a strand of mohair silk laceweight yarn for a soft and cosy headband.
The grey and fawn headbands are knitted in aran/worsted weight yarn.
Please be aware that this is a pdf download pattern not the actual garment. The pattern pdf will be available to you after purchase. There is no refunds available on this item.
