Madder, fustic and indigo hat - dip dyed

A easy to pull on, slouchy style hat, dip dyed in madder, fustic and indigo.

Medium/large adult - measures 10.5" long (with turn up). Circumference measures 15" unstretched, up to 23" stretched.

Knitted by me in rural Lincolnshire on my vintage hand-powered knitting machine in a beautiful soft but 'sheepy', worsted spun 100% British wool.  After knitting, linking and hand-finishing, the hat is dip-dyed in madder, fustic and indigo. The method of dyeing is the same, but each  hat is totally unique!   This is actually slightly more of a green that it looks here, it's a hard colour to capture accurately.

The indigo I have used is grown by Bailiwick Blue on Guernsey. Due to the nature of the dyeing there maybe a variation in the shade of blue.  

100% British wool, a blend of Bluefaced Leicester and Masham wool, reared and spun within 50 miles of the Yorkshire mill.
